Closure Continues in Summer 2021

- - - September 3, 2021 update: We are open! See our newer blog about it here. - - -

The Sindecuse Museum of Dentistry exhibits and workroom are located within a patient care facility. Consequently, to prioritize safety, we will remain closed to the public throughout the summer of 2021.

Currently, on-site employees, students, and clinic patients at the School of Dentistry are able to access our exhibit spaces once they’ve followed protocol to enter the building, but please note that exhibit lights are dimmed to discourage lingering, especially in hallways or eating areas, and also to preserve our artifacts.

In the meantime, you can:

  • Submit your email in the form below to subscribe to our blog, which is updated about once a month.

  • Get in touch with us with research requests or queries about donating historical dental artifacts to the museum: (734) 763-0767 or email dentalmuseum@umich.edu

  • If you have dental needs, visit the clinic website for services.

  • For local, in-person activities, some campus museums are already open for visitors. Check out U-M collections listed here, and view their guidelines before making any plans!

We miss our visitors! We look forward to sharing updated visit guidelines and resuming browsing and tours of our Kellogg Building displays as soon as protocols allow. Once we have an opening date, we will be sure to share it with you in an upcoming blog post.
